Pivot

Your own analysis

Drag the fields you need into rows and columns and build the table and the chart you want.

Every chart is a starting point

Choose how a chart is broken down: by job code, person class, gender, location or another dimension. Click a bar or a slice and the list of the people behind that number opens, without leaving the dashboard.

  • Breakdown dimension selectable on every chart
  • Drill-down from a value to the people it counts
  • Print, PDF, data export and full-screen view
  • The date and time of the last data update on every chart

Build any view with a pivot

When the ready-made dashboards are not enough, the pivot lets HR and controllers answer their own questions. Drag a field into rows, another into columns, filter the values and turn the result into a chart.

The fields cover the whole organization: company, location, business unit, department, cost center, job code, contract, category, level, broadbanding, age, hierarchy level, span of control, cost, vacancies, headcount and FTE.

KPIs inside the org chart

You do not need to leave the chart to read its numbers. The side panel shows the KPIs and charts for the structure you are looking at: personnel cost, remaining budget, direct and total reports, structure depth and how boxes are distributed across hierarchical levels.

Views change what the boxes show. A diversity view, for example, can show age, gender, nationality and mother tongue on every box, and colour rules highlight automatically the people or positions that match your criteria.

Calculated for you, along the hierarchy

OrgChart Agile calculates these fields from the data you load. Each value adds up everything below a box, the box included, so a manager’s box shows the totals of the whole team.

FieldWhat it tells you
Headcount and FTEPeople and full-time equivalents in the structure, also split by women and men
Span of controlHow many people sit at the same hierarchical level
Hierarchy levelWhere each person sits in the chart
Department costThe total cost of each department
Average age and seniorityAverage age, overall and by gender, and average company seniority below a box
Full-time and part-timeHow many people work full time and part time
Leave and absence countsPeople on parental, military or other leave and on short or long-term disability, and active people
20 custom calculated fieldsYour own formulas and conditions on the fields you import

Calculated fields can appear in the boxes, in the dashboards and in the exports.

Questions about org chart analytics

Which KPIs can I analyze with OrgChart Agile?

Headcount, FTE, span of control, hierarchy level and structure depth, direct and total reports, department and personnel cost, remaining budget, vacant and occupied positions, average age and seniority, gender split, full-time and part-time counts and leave counts. You can add up to 20 calculated fields of your own.

Can I drill down from a chart to the people behind it?

Yes. Click a bar or a slice and the list of the people counted in that value opens, without leaving the dashboard.

Can I build my own reports?

Yes. In the Pivot dashboard you drag fields into rows and columns, filter the values and build the chart you need. The ready-made dashboards also let you choose the breakdown of each chart.

Where does the data come from, and how fresh is it?

The dashboards use the HR data you load into OrgChart Agile, by file import or by integration, plus the fields the tool calculates. Custom calculated fields are refreshed every night, and each chart shows the date and time of its last update.

Can I export the results?

Yes. Charts can be printed, saved as PDF and exported as data, and the org chart can be exported to PDF and Excel/CSV, with PowerPoint, HTML and JPEG depending on your plan.
